The highlight of the tour unfolded at Cranford Community College in Hounslow. Opening the annual UK Goan Festival, Cardinal Ferrão presided as the main celebrant for the Open-Air Mass marking the Diamond Jubilee (60th Anniversary) of the Goan Association (GOA UK).

Despite intense summer heat, thousands gathered under the open sky to join in the Eucharistic celebration.

Pointing to the Gospel account of the feeding of the 5,000, he urged parishioners not to focus on what they lack, but on placing their existing gifts—family values, faith, hospitality, and music—at the service of Christ.

He shared a joke about two parents explaining the origins of humanity to their child—one using Adam and Eve, the other pointing to evolution – concluding with the punchline: “One was talking about her family, the other about his!”
